The Hope Center facilitates housing and education for children with disabilities in the Afar region of Ethiopia. Our Total Care support level includes boarding, educational expenses, and some funding for basic medical care at the local clinic. For many of these children, that accommodation may be life-changing.

The Hope Center is the first-of-its-kind facility, located in the remote desert Afar region of North Eastern Ethiopia. Acting in unison as a school, clinic, and safe housing for children (and visiting parents) living with disabilities in this region, it seeks to meet a need that has long gone unreached in the rural Ethiopian landscape. A team of staff, indigenous to the children's homeland, will serve as facilitators, protectors, and educators.
